Job Number: 26-01832

Use your skills where innovative technology solutions begin. ECLARO is looking for a SAP Solutions Architect for our client in Sant Ana, CA.

ECLARO’s client is a leading technology solutions provider, collaborating with customers to manage their needs and achieve success in their business goals. If you’re up to the challenge, then take a chance at this rewarding opportunity!

Position Overview:

  • A strategy-focused, hands-on SAP solution architect to own the design and direction of the company's SAP ERP landscape and the systems that integrate to it, including High-Jump WMS and EDI.
  • This architect-level leader sets the SAP roadmap, defines target-state architecture, and drives forecasting and planning for the broader enterprise application strategy.
  • The role combines enterprise architecture with delivery leadership.
  • It guides multiple SAP projects across one or several business segments, from blueprint and design through go-live and hypercare and leads onshore and offshore functional and technical teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the enterprise SAP solution architect and SME, owning end-to-end architecture across SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, WM/EWM) and integrated systems including WMS and EDI.
  • Define current-state and target-state SAP architecture, and own the roadmap, including S/4HANA strategy (greenfield, brownfield, or selective data transition), release, and upgrade planning.
  • Design the integration architecture between SAP, WMS, EDI trading partners, and third-party systems (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, SAP PI/PO or Integration Suite).
  • Set and govern SAP architecture standards, design principles, and clean-core guidelines, and lead design reviews for standards compliance.
  • Evaluate the SAP landscape, master data, and underlying data layers, and lead data architecture and migration strategy.
  • Provide solution design guidance on RICEFW objects, favoring standard configuration and extensions on SAP BTP over core modifications.
  • Assess total cost of ownership, SAP's product direction, and platform and hosting options (on-premise, cloud, RISE with SAP), and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Define non-functional requirements for performance, scalability, security, and availability of SAP production systems.
  • Lead SAP deployment and support architecture for California, Mississippi, Salem, and Mexico, including connected WMS, EDI, and new applications.
  • Lead a team of direct and matrixed global SAP functional and technical resources as a cohesive unit to deliver solutions across the company.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise SAP functional analysts, ABAP developers, Basis, and other ERP staff, building leadership skills within the team.
  • Keep the team current on SAP tools, techniques, and roadmap, including S/4HANA, Fiori, SAP BTP, and SAP Activate methodology.
  • Define resource requirements and allocations, monitor and improve quality, and ensure best-practice development techniques.
  • Ensure production stability through sound incident, problem, transport, and change management processes.
  • Assess, evaluate, and guide development and QA efforts, including unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Manage and supervise offshore SAP resources and coordinate testing between onshore and offshore teams.
  • Manage risks, issues, and scope change control.
  • Act as an advocate for change management and encourage innovation and creativity in technology solutions.
  • Ensure smooth communication and seamless integration with involved departments and stakeholders within Company.
  • Manage, schedule, and implement SAP initiatives internally and with SAP and system integrator partners, ensuring on-time, on-budget, quality delivery.
  • Ensure all architecture decisions, SAP configuration, and functional and technical specifications are properly documented.
  • Manage multiple vendors (SAP, system integrators, offshore partners) and participate in contract and licensing negotiations.
  • Work closely with management and stakeholders to prioritize business goals.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required.

  • Proven experience as an SAP solution or enterprise architect, defining target-state architecture across multiple modules and integrated systems.
  • Deep, hands-on SAP expertise across multiple modules, with strong understanding of cross-module integration (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM).
  • Strong integration architecture skills (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, PI/PO or CPI) and working knowledge of ABAP, SAP Basis, and security and authorizations.
  • S/4HANA experience strongly preferred, including migration approaches, SAP Activate, clean-core principles, and SAP BTP.
