Responsibilities:
- Work with the CPS team to implement strategies, provide technical support, partner with stakeholders, and support rulemaking for the advancement and implementation of Appliance Standards.
- Support the on-going refinement and development of the program.
- Support the development and execution (including tracking and reporting) of the initiative at hand.
- The selected contractor will be responsible for the management of multiple projects through their entire lifecycle, from conceptualization through implementation and project close out. This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Manage technical and cost-control aspects of multiple on-going projects with minimal supervision.
- Evaluate, understand, and constructively criticize contractor reports, documents and articles from a technical, literary, logical, and contractual perspective.
- Consistently follow up with project stakeholders and follow through on all project tasks in a time sensitive fashion.
- Track deliverables and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Demonstrate good judgment and understanding of when to escalate issues.
- Keep program team abreast of project progress and issues as they arise.
- Other duties as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the Codes & Standards team.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of innovative and complex projects independently and simultaneously under deadline
- Developing and managing workplans and budgets and overseeing consultant work products
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and manage both contractor(s) and internal teams.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment
- Technical understanding of building systems, especially residential and multifamily
- Technical understanding of heat pumps, including installation and commissioning challenges
- Ability to understand technical specifications and testing results, and translate them to non-technical staff and management
- IT systems that will be used: Microsoft 365, Asana, SharePoint
