Responsibilities:
- Duties and responsibilities include monitoring compliance with Client's rules and regulations, grant awards and assisting with contract closeouts.
- Track receipt of required documentation and follow up with Client staff and providers as necessary;
- Review provider-submitted financial reports for accuracy and adherence to approved budgets and awards;
- Work with agency Client staff and providers as necessary to resolve discrepancies in claims;
- Identify problem areas and trends and develop solutions;
- Assist in special studies related to Client internal controls and processes;
- Prepare summary reports and analyses for Client staff;
- Work with agency finance staff to track and monitor expenditures and the status of grant awards to ensure funds are used efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with Client's guidelines;
- Assist agency finance staff with contract reviews to ensure proper documentation is received prior to contract execution;
- Assist agency finance staff with claim reviews utilizing financial-system-generated control points for annual direct contract closeouts;
- Assist agency finance staff with quarterly encumbrance reviews and related direct contract assignments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of twenty-four (24) undergraduate and/or graduate semester credit hours in accounting and/or auditing; and
- A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis, cash flow analysis, internal control policies and procedures, and consolidations is expected.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with grant regulations;
- Prior experience with grant claims and reimbursements.
Pay Rate: $34.00/Hour
