Position Overview:
  • Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.
  • The ETS Business Systems Delivery (BSD) Customer Engagement Pega department supports, manages and implements a portfolio of ETS system capital initiatives with our Customer Operations, Electric Operations and Customer Energy Solution business partners.
  • This ETS team supports each initiative from conception to implementation and provides the necessary ETS support required to either enhance existing systems, create or enhance interfaces and or design, develop, test and implement new applications.
  • The Customer Engagement Pega Team is looking for a senior Technical Project Manager with strong communications skills, to work with our existing ETS delivery team to design, develop, test and implement key functional enhancements based on business requirements from our product owner and regulator.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, can help foster relationships, facilitate and coordinate standard project operations and support and drive excellence.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the project team observes operational standards and follows Microsoft Azure DevOps protocols for task, defect, and time reporting.
  • Organize and lead project status meetings, working sessions, and relevant scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, backlog grooming, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Prepare and disseminate comprehensive progress reports and meeting minutes.
  • Partner with the team to implement and sustain the overarching project or work plan.
  • Develop a roadmap and keep it updated on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinate project schedules in close alignment with the Product Owner.
  • Oversee compliance with all quality assurance processes, conducting periodic reviews and facilitating knowledge transitions to minimize delivery impact.
  • Communicate requirements, project plans, and changes in commitments effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Manage inter-team relationships and coordinate activities across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Define release scope and schedule, prioritizing reliable and timely value delivery.
  • Work collaboratively to identify obstacles and proactively facilitate their resolution.
  • Seek management support as needed to resolve team impediments.
  • Represent the project team at meetings and official engagements.
  • Develop and administer project and work plans for designated program work streams.
  • Balance and adjust scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Monitor progress against defined milestones, implementing corrective actions to maintain timelines and stay within budget.
  • Obtain senior management approval for all major project plans, commitments, and variations, including requirements, quality assurance, budget, schedule, and scope modifications.
  • Define roles and expectations for team members to optimize resource utilization.
  • Support team development by ensuring accountability, removing barriers, and promoting growth opportunities.
  • Leverage organizational resources to strengthen project capacity.
  • Assist in managing supplier and subcontractor relationships, monitoring their progress, and ensuring contractual compliance.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of project management and software development methodology and tools: Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, SDLC, DevOps, SAFe
  • Experience leading and mentoring IT project teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to react/produce in an Agile project atmosphere.
  • Proficient in documenting and communicating project progress against established plans, and implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Ability to manage the success of metrics defined by the project and the organization.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to define, implement, and maintain project process guidance (e.g., project plan and subordinate plans), tailoring organizational processes as needed in collaboration with Scrum Master.
  • Ability to ensure team's adherence to project processes and best practices identified in collaboration with Scrum Master.
  • Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed.
  • Ability to negotiate changes to commitments/requirements.
  • Ability to review ongoing and proposed projects to identify opportunities for reuse and process improvement.
