Qualifications:
- Familiarity with floodplain modeling approaches.
- Technical expertise in climate hazard data (ex. flood, extreme heat, wind, drought).
- Strong experience in contract management.
- Strong experience in product development and user testing for data products.
- Experience with developing agile workflows.
- Collaborative mindset to build systems and partnerships that make climate data more useful, equitable, and actionable for use by client and other stakeholders in NYS.
- Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
- Familiarity with the development of FEMA map products and floodplain management.
- GIS or other geospatial tools, data analysis, experience performing climate risk assessments.
- Experience in developing and implementing data products or platforms (including user research, prototyping, and testing), strong analytical skills, strong communication across multiple stakeholders, strategic planning.
- Coding skills in Python is a plus.
- IT systems that will be used: Salesforce, ArcGIS Pro, ESRI enterprise, SharePoint, Tableau, Office365
