Role: Lead Data Analyst

Purpose of the Role:
The ESG Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of client’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) data and disclosures. The role safeguards the company’s compliance with emerging global sustainability regulations—including ISSB, CSRD, and EU Taxonomy—by managing data quality, enabling strong internal controls, and supporting annual assurance requirements.
This position is critical to protecting client’s credibility as a publicly listed company by providing high quality non financial information for the Annual Report, external disclosures, and the company’s broader sustainability strategy.


JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The scope of the role will continue to broaden, but key areas of responsibility are as follows:
 
ESG Data Management (Scope 1, 2, and 3)
  • Oversee the end to end process for managing client’s emissions and sustainability data.
  • Work with diverse business units, markets, and functional teams to ensure data submitted is accurate, complete, and compliant with external reporting standards.
  • Support the design, enhancement, and operation of internal controls related to ESG data, ensuring audit readiness.
  • Improve methodological consistency and strengthen data governance.
 
Watershed Platform Ownership & Operations
  • Lead the continued rollout and optimization of Watershed, client’s global ESG data platform.
  • Upload all Group level data and enable regional teams use of the platform.
  • Reconcile all data to source systems and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and validation.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and security controls.
  • Own and update end to end process and system documentation.
ESG Reporting & Analytics
  • Support the development of ESG reporting outputs for the business, including dashboards, insights, and presentations using Watershed.
  • Contribute to the creation and enhancement of client’s decarbonization plan, using analytical outputs to influence strategy.
  • Own the CDP reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Maintain and govern the Climate Reporting SharePoint site.
 
Stakeholder Collaboration & Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with Market and Regional teams, including GBS, COEs, Finance, IT, and Sustainability.
  • Provide subject matter guidance to business partners on ESG data and reporting requirements.
  • Support ad hoc business requests and cross functional initiatives.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
 
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ESG reporting, sustainability data management, finance, or related analytical fields.
  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and regulations: ISSB, CSRD, GHG Protocol, EU Taxonomy (preferred).
  • Experience working with ESG software platforms (Watershed or similar).
  • Strong analytical, data management, and reconciliation skills.
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional teams in multinational or shared services environments.
  • Detail oriented with strong documentation and process discipline.
  • Ability to translate technical ESG concepts into clear, actionable business requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to work effectively across Finance, IT, and business teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root-cause analysis of system and process issues.
  • Delivery-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and control orientation.
  • Experience in automotive, FMCG, or similarly complex multi-entity environments is an advantage.
