About the role:
The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily SLAB and collateral management operations, including exposure monitoring, collateral trade bookings, recalls, returns, and ensuring accurate and timely settlements. The role partners closely with traders, sales, custodians, and control teams to ensure effective risk mitigation, operational excellence, and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily processing of collateralised agreements across derivatives, securities lending, and repo activity.
- Supervise booking of collateral trades and management of bilateral exposures.
- Review recall and return bookings and ensure timely execution of counterparty requests.
- Coordinate triparty recalls, borrow requests, and pledge-in requirements to avoid shorts or buyin risks.
- Oversee Nostro and Depot reconciliation break investigations and ensure timely clean-up.
- Review accounting break investigations and collaborate with Control & Accounting teams for resolution.
- Monitor market risks and ensure appropriate escalation and mitigation actions.
- Support improvement of STP rates and upkeep of static data to reduce settlement risk and operational costs.
- Minimize manual instructions by optimizing workflow and adherence to compliance rules.
- Maintain strong working relationships with traders, sales teams, domestic agents, and custodians.
- Coach and support new joiners, including documentation of procedures and best practices
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a global environment.
- Deep understanding of collateral management, SLAB processes, financial markets, and Excel.
- High attention to detail and adherence to compliance standards.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in SLAB, collateral management, or securities settlements.
- Strong experience using U.S. domestic settlement systems such as DTCC and Fedwire (main requirement).
- Experience with Tri-party platforms is a strong advantage
