About the role:

The Senior Associate supports daily SLAB and collateral management operations, including collateral trade bookings, recalls, returns, triparty coordination, and exposure monitoring. The role ensures timely settlement, effective risk mitigation, and adherence to operational and regulatory requirements while partnering closely with traders, sales, custodians, and other internal support teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process collateralised agreements supporting derivatives, securities lending, and repo activity.
  • Book collateral trades and manage exposures on bilateral arrangements.
  • Perform recall and return bookings based on counterparty requests.
  • Coordinate triparty recalls or desk borrow requests to prevent shorts or buy-in risks.
  • Request pledge-in of collateral to resolve triparty short positions.
  • Investigate and resolve Nostro and Depot reconciliation breaks.
  • Pass necessary entries in internal systems to clean up outstanding items.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting breaks raised by Control & Accounting teams.
  • Monitor and act on market risks, including potential buy-ins.
  • Improve STP rates through accurate static data maintenance.
  • Reduce manual instructions to minimize cost, operational risk, and settlement errors.
  • Escalate operational risks to management as needed.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with traders, sales, domestic agents, and custodians.
  • Document procedures and support training and onboarding of new joiners.

  • Knowledge of financial markets, SLAB processes, collateral management, and Excel.
  • Strong English communication skills.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years relevant experience in US securities settlements.
  • Experience in using U.S. domestic settlement systems such as DTCC and Fedwire
  • Experience with Tri-party platforms is a strong advantage.
