About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Engineer to join our Agile team to help build out test automation from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, and experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of our insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
• Automation Development:
o Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
o Integrate automated tests into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to ensure seamless execution.
• Test Planning & Execution:
o Collaborate with Manual QA, Developers, and Product Owners to understand the requirements and acceptance criteria for user stories.
o Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
o Identify and report defects and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Agile Collaboration:
o Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process within the Agile framework.
o Work closely with the onshore team to align testing efforts and ensure that deliverables meet the quality standards.
• Documentation & Reporting:
o Document test scripts, test plans, and test results in a clear and concise manner.
o Provide regular updates on the status of testing activities and communicate any risks or issues that may impact the project timelines.
• Tool & Framework Enhancement:
o Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new automation tools and frameworks.
o Continuously enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage.
Qualifications
• Education & Experience:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
o 3 years of experience in automation testing, preferably in an Agile environment.
o Experience working with offshore teams is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
o Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or C#.
o Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
o Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
o Knowledge of test management tools like Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or similar.
