Position Overview:
- Seeking a highly motivated and skilled Linux System Administrator to join a customer project.
- The ideal consultant will have strong Linux administration experience, automation expertise using Ansible, and a basic understanding of GPU and container technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Provisioning and deployment of servers.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers, including storage and network services.
- Automate server provisioning and infrastructure operations using Ansible.
- Perform basic network and storage diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Manage and monitor Nvidia GPUs on servers (basic understanding, required).
- Maintain and update infrastructure and server documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical teams to resolve issues.
- Create and manage Ansible Playbooks for bare metal systems management.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure reliability and automation processes.
Required Skills:
- Strong Linux administration experience, including configuring and managing storage and network services.
- Experience with Netplan and Linux networking - including configuring and managing network interfaces and settings on Linux.
- Basic knowledge of Nvidia GPU management in server environments.
- Experience with Ansible / Scripting tools for automation.
- Proficiency with GitHub for code and configuration management.
- Exposure to container technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both network and storage issues.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A System Administrator with solid system knowledge, Netplan expertise, and a background in server provisioning and deployment, along with exposure to GPU and cloud technologies.
Pay Rate: $58 - $60 / Hour
