Position Overview:
- Seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft 365 (M365), AppLocker solutioning, and enterprise automation tools such as SCCM and Ansible Tower.
- This individual will also lead efforts related to Windows 11 imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- The ideal consultant is a hands-on engineer with deep knowledge of modern desktop management and security hardening practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support M365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune, and Azure AD.
- Lead the development and deployment of AppLocker policies for application whitelisting, including architecture, testing, and enforcement strategy.
- Manage and automate system configurations and software deployments using SCCM and Ansible Tower.
- Build and maintain Windows 11 images, ensuring compliance with security baselines, feature configurations, and hardware compatibility.
- Develop automated processes for OS deployments, patch management, and compliance reporting.
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated issues involving system performance, application compatibility, or access controls.
- Collaborate with security, helpdesk, and infrastructure teams to enforce endpoint protection strategies.
- Document system architectures, processes, and support procedures for knowledge transfer and training.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a senior systems or endpoint engineering role.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem and administration.
- Hands-on experience with AppLocker policy implementation and troubleshooting.
- Proven expertise in SCCM (ConfigMgr) and Ansible Tower for large-scale deployments and automation.
- Strong experience with Windows 10 / 11 imaging, deployment methodologies (e.g., MDT, Autopilot), and GPO.
- Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) for task automation.
- Solid understanding of enterprise security practices related to endpoint management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, MD-102).
- Experience with Intune / MEM for device management.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust or hybrid identity models.
- Knowledge of cloud-first or co-management strategies.
Pay Rate: $78 - $80 / Hour
