Position Overview:
- An App Admin is part of the Solution support team and performs a specialized function that focuses on the reliability, performance, maintainability, and optimization of business applications.
- To be effective in the position, an App Admin must have strong experience supporting and configuring business critical document capture and transformation software.
Pay Rate: $64.00/Hour
Responsibilities:
- Captiva OpenText Support: Provide technical support to end-users and internal teams who use the application, including troubleshooting issues, resolving problems, and answering questions related to the software.
- Vendor Communication: Act as the intermediary between the organization and OpenText, maintaining regular communication to convey the organization's requirements, report issues, and collaborate on solutions specific to the Captiva OpenText application.
- Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain the Captiva OpenText software application within the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Customization: Customize and adapt the Captiva OpenText application by writing or modifying code to meet the organization's specific requirements, including integrations, custom features, and tailored functionality.
- Updates and Maintenance: Keep the Captiva OpenText application up to date by applying patches, updates, and new releases. Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to Captiva OpenText application setup, configuration, customizations, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides.
- Integration: Collaborate with internal IT teams to seamlessly integrate the Captiva OpenText application with the organization's existing systems and infrastructure, ensuring smooth data flow and efficiency operation.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve technical issues and incidents related to the Captiva OpenText application, and escalate issues to OpenText when necessary, following up until resolution.
- User Training: Provide training and support to end-users, helping them effectively utilize the Captiva OpenText application and understand any new features or customizations.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor the performance of the Captiva OpenText application and optimize its configurations to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Administer servers, processes, and batches.
- Automate manual processes.
- Root cause analysis and write up.
- Analyze incoming incidents/alerts and ensure appropriate prioritization and escalation.
- Provide Level 2 Operational Support, including off-hours incident response.
- Perform troubleshooting.
- Extraction, Image Processor, Standard OCR, Standard Export, Standard Import.
- Create and maintain templates and behaviors in Recognition Designer.
- Maintain VBA Recognition scripting.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong systems, network, and admin knowledge.
- Experience with server access tools such as Remote Desktop, Citrix and others.
- Experience in installing, upgrading, patching, and configuring software packages.
- Experience with OpenText Intelligent Capture/Captiva v23.x or greater:
- Experience configuring Captiva Modules Designer, Administrator, ScanPlus.
- Experience in designing new Capture Workflows with Captiva.
- Knowledge in Capture Flow Designer and scripting knowledge.
- Knowledge in Captiva Advanced Recognition, Dispatcher, Extraction, Templates, Standard Import, Multi Directory Watch.
- Experience with Captiva Web Client, Captiva Rest API, Deployment process.
- Understanding of the Intelligent Capture capabilities and features.
- Familiar with Data Matrix bar code creation and scanning.
- Knowledge of scanning and imaging and document related tools and technologies.
- Programming and Development:
- Advanced development level with C#, .Net, Rest Web services, and VB.
- Practical experience with modern scripting languages (Python, .Net, C#, Java)
- Working knowledge of DevOps and delivery tools (GitHub)
- Strong SQL skills
- Extensive Unit and Component test strategy, planning, and execution experience
- Experience working in the Agile methodology.
